DAVID RAIBON

You may not think a former cop would have much of a sense of humor, well you need to meet a former police officer from Houston that does. While moonlighting as a security officer Raibon wandered into a comedy club. He later formed a partnership with Rushion McDonald, the current manager of Steve Harvey and along with J. Anthony Brown created the Apollo Theatre of the Southwest, “The Hip-Hop Comedy Stop”, where the birthplace of Destiny’s Child took place on amateur night in the early 90’s.

Later, after performing in Dave Rabe’s well-known play, “Streamers”, Raibon realized he had the chops for acting,left Houston in 1995--pursued stand-up comedy and acting. Raibon has made appearances on such television shows as, “Just Shoot me”, “Six Feet Under”, “The District”, “Without A Trace”, “NYPD Blue”, “Punk’d”, a recurring guest star role on the hit series, “The Shield” several commercials including a national State Farm Insurance spot. Raibon can also be seen in a Brian DePalma film, “The Black Dahlia” in the spring of 2006.

Currently, developing a new scripted sitcom pilot series for television called “Fore” and touring with D.L. Hughley on the stand-up circuit. Raibon is looking to break out as a national headliner as his acting skills and comedic timing head on a talent loaded collision course.
